Abstract

The aims of this study will be to identify the most frequent nursing diagnoses in people with alcoholic liver cirrhosis in use of feeding tube in the light of the NANDA Taxonomy II-I, and the nursing interventions suggested by the NIC for these diagnoses. It will be a non-experimental, descriptive and exploratory study, to be conducted in the unit of clinical medicine, gastroenterology ward, of a university hospital in São Paulo state. The research will last for two years and will be operated in two phases. In the first, will be part of the study people with alcoholic liver cirrhosis who are in the use of feeding tube. The data will be obtained through direct interviews, physical examination and consultation to the medical record, through a systematic data collection instrument, based on Wanda Horta's Conceptual Model. The diagnoses will be identified and named according to NANDA Taxonomy II-I, using the process of diagnostic reasoning proposed by Risner. In the second phase, will be part of the study nurses working in gastroenterology ward, whose purpose is to identify nursing interventions targeting to the most common diagnoses in the light of the NIC. It is intended that the nursing interventions identified in this study will be applied in nursing clinical practice that assist people with alcoholic liver cirrhosis in use of feeding tube in order to reduce the risks associated with health care.
