Abstract
This is a study that aims to understand the illness process and the disability of nursing staff from the nursing managers perspective. Thus, we will conduct a qualitative research with phenomenological approach with the nursing managers of Brazilian university hospitals, glimpsing reveal how the managers perceive the the illness and disability context of nursing staff. The speeches will be analyzed according to Heidegger referential, considering that the author posits the issues of care as existential, supporting the effectiveness of intervention for nursing staff health.
