Abstract

We need financial support to increase the scope and the public participation in our program 'Telescópios na escola' (Telescopes in the school) and, based in the same structure of this project, to develop two others: 'Geofísica na escola (Geophysics in the school) and 'Meteorologia na escola' (Meteorology in the school). These projects may be understood under the concept of WebLabs: laboratories where a remote controlled laboratory can be accessed through the internet. These projects will allow teachers and their students to have direct access to scientific instruments (a telescope, a sysmograph and a weather station) and to the data produced by them to develop small scientific and educational projects.
