Abstract

The nasosinusal surgery presented a great progresses in the last years, developping procedures less and less invasive and efficient. The Otorrinolaringology, in its process of evolution, has shown great interest in the techniques for improvement of esthetics and functionability and in the therapeutics for rehabilitation and nasal reconstruction. The reconstructive techniques of the nose have been used in afections that demonstrate loss or lack of the development of osseous and cartilaginous structures of the nose, taking to aesthetic deformities and leading to ventilatory inadequacies. Nowadays, the rehabilitation procedures for this type of problem try to reconstitute the structural flaws through the retreat and relocation of the bones and remaining cartilages in other resignation, bone use or cartilage of the facial area remodeled, use of solitary osteocartilaginous grafts of distant areas as iliac bone and rib or use of biocompatible implants composed by silicon, plastipore and hidroxiapatite. However, not always the crop, amount and malleableness of the own individual's tissue is enough, being many times very traumatic, while the inorganic materials have presented high rejection tax, almost that making unfeasible its use. The possibility of use of a tissue that can stay in the nasal submucosa without causing inflammatory answer, not being rejected nor either reabsorbed and, at the same time, that offers an appropriate format to the desired reconstruction can be valuable in the treatment of the nasal deformities.Biotissue is a flexible membrane, semi-transparent, of yellowish color, used as temporary substitute of skin, composed of polissacarides, synthesized by bacterium of the gender acetobacter, being biodegradable, no poisonous, no pirogenic and sterile...
