Imag - integrated software for calculation of electromagnetic fields by numerical method

Abstract

The aim of this project is to develop several computer tools in order to model all kinds of electromagnetic phenomena presented in electrical devices and electrical systems. The LMAG2D software is designed for modelling bidimensional electromagnetic phenomena taking into account both the non-linearity and anisotropy not only in steady state but also in time domain problem. The LMAG3D software is designed for modelling tridimensional electromagnetic phenomena taking into accounnt also both non-linearity and anisotropy not only in steady state but also in dynamic problem. The GROUND3D software is designed for modelling ground systems in both low frequency and high frequency taking into account the network linked in a ground mesh. The methodology applied in those softwares is the Finite Element Method The LIGHTNING software is designed for modelling the electromagnetic interference due to a lightning stroke in mettalic structure. This software is based on hibrid method developed by ur group. We are also developing the research for instrumentation magnetic materials characterization. (AU)
