Abstract

This application for a visiting scholarship is being submitted within the framework of the ongoing collective research project "Sociotramas: Nature, Dynamics and Effects of Digital Networks". Under the general coordination of Professor Lucia Santaella, this research project has done collaborative research since 2011. Its institutional framework is the Postgraduate Program (MA and PhD) in Technologies of Intelligence and Digital Design at PUC-SP. The research results already achieved testify to the maturity and the status of consolidation of this research group. It has now reached a point in which the participation of a foreign researcher of international renown in the field of Media Studies is likely to bring an invaluable contribution for the conceptual and practical enrichment of the said research project.
