Abstract

The collaboration of Prof. Dr. Karen Louise Scrivener (EPFL, Switzerland) will be very important due to the richness in discussions of research issues studied by the Group of Materials and Ecoefficiency - USP: emphasizing the mechanisms and phenomena of cement hydration in combination with inert and reactive materials; concepts applied to concrete and mortar formulation; the effect of fiber and cure condition on the hydration reactions, consolidation of cementitious systems, and kinetic modeling of cementitious systems. Besides the discussion of themes, the researcher still minister Lecture for the academic community (seminar entitled ON THE FUTURE OF THE CEMENT INDUSTRY) which will be discussed with the leaders of the Brazilian cement industry the current vision for the future directions of the industry of cement and cementitious materials.
