Abstract

In this research project, we elaborate the proposal to evidence and analyze the dynamics of the combination between the dimensions of presence and absence, visibility and invisibility, which emerges in the phenomenology of perception as an essential trait which mark both our experience of the perceived world and our subjective and intersubjective experience. We will prioritize a theoretical axis that integrates Husserl and Merleau-Ponty's thinking into Renaud Barbaras' recent contributions. To this philosophical framework, we will link incursions into the field of sciences, especially psychology, outlining the circular movement observed between the phenomenology of perception and domains like Gestalt psychology, psychoanalysis, linguistics, cognitive sciences and neurosciences. Two points emerge as specific research objectives: I. To investigate the value the diacritical structure of the sensitive gains in view of manifestations of objective thinking in philosophy and in sciences, mainly its role in the restoration of the carnal sphere of perceptive life; II. To discuss to what extent, and based on what theoretical progresses, the dynamics of joining the opposition systems between presence and absence, visibility and invisibility, leads us to the central position of the driving and pulsion dimensions in the phenomenology of perception . We expect to contribute to the appreciation of the pertinence, fecundity and limits of the phenomenological motive related to these systems of oppositions, which directly derive from Husserl's theory of constitution.
