Abstract

The problems currently found in the agronomic and biological areas have great complexity, due to environmental, social, economic and political factors and many others. Then, decision making must be done very carefully. Thus, many this complex problems present multiobjective nature, requiring computational and mathematical techniques to assist decision making. The current projects, in optimization's area, in Department of Biostatistics, IB UNESP, present problems with the characteristics mentioned above (Projects: Optimization of the process in sugarcane culture; Optimal control of Dengue; Optimal control of the plagues and Optimization of the planning radiotherapy). The Professor Edmundo Vergara is specializes in solving multiobjective problems and may help us in period that he will be in Department. Professor Edmund was invited as a speaker at the congress CMAC in Bauru SP, from 22 to 28 September, so will have already paid your ticket for visit to Brazil. Then he can remains 15 day in Botucatu in the period preceding this Congress. (AU)
