Abstract

This book collects the latest product from the crossing of an international research group (Network College of studies in Psychoanalysis and Education, RUEPSY) that has organized formally its research exchanges for five years. Asked to respond, according to their own perspectives of work, developed in their places of origin, the question: what are the scenarios of current malaise in education, each of the guest authors elaborated a chapter, which gathered, compose this book. In it appears, since the relationship between psychoanalysis and education, a debate on poignant issues of contemporary education. Themes vary, sometimes working on structural points, sometimes on more specific points of education, balancing the debate on the axes explored by psychoanalysis, namely: history and structure. Issues such as the question of authority in education, the impasses of inclusive education, the vicissitudes of early childhood education, questions about the relevance of tradition and affiliation in education, the view of childhood and education in postmodemity, the current relationship between school and family, mark the overall scope of the book. Written by skilled university researchers from around the world brings the result of years of work within the relationship between psychoanalysis and education, showing the audience, in a concentrated effort of synthesis and with proper depth required at this level of research, an extensive and detailed overview of the key problems addressed in these research areas.
