Abstract

This study will be developed within the research area "Training of Education Professionals, Educational Policies and Public School" of the Graduate Program in Education of the Faculty of Science and Technology of Sao Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (PPGE / FCT / UNESP). It is associated with a larger research entitled Research and training network on full-time education: experiences, movements, innovation and contemporary challenges (RINALDI, 2016). It addresses the complexity of teacher malaise among regular teachers in the public school system through the Full-Time Education Program in the municipality of Presidente Prudente. It will seek to answer the following research questions: How does teacher malaise emerge in the work of regular teachers in full-time schools in the municipality? What are the characteristics of teacher malaise in this context and how is it faced by teachers? The intent is to involve the 31 schools of the municipal network which are enrolled in the program of full-time education. 65 regular teachers who work with the extended school day will be invited to take part in this study. The qualitative approach of research in education will be adopted and, more specifically, it intends to use bibliographical and documentary research (national and municipal legislation, full-time municipal school project, political-pedagogical projects, etc.) as well as the focus group as a strategy of investigative work. The main instruments of data collection will be: questionnaire, interviews (unstructured and semi-structured) and field journal. The data analysis procedure will be guided by the framework developed by Miles and Huberman (1994) systematized through reduction, presentation and conclusion/ verification. (AU)
