Abstract

During the previous visit of the guest scientist, a full wave model was developed to describe the phase variation of the reflectometry signal, in a turbulent plasma, operating in the ordinary mode. The resulting work, "Full Wave Theory of O-mode Reflectometry with an Intermediate Level of Turbulence", was submitted for publication in the Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion journal. The objective of the next visit is to extend the model to include the extraordinary mode and the effects of Bragg reflections and of plasma edge fluctuations. (AU)
