Abstract

The goal of this project is to understand usage of a Reflectometry for diagnostics of plasma density profile and to participate in elaboration of new method measurements of an effective atomic mass number using magnetic perturbations externally induced in tokamak like TCABR. The project is some introducing part to plasma experiments for localization of position of Alfvén wave oscillations in tokamak plasmas. An extension of the project includes treatment of the experimental signals (phase delay) of the microwaves emitted by the Reflectometry and reflected at the critical (cut off) layer where plasma density is perturbed by Alfvén waves with frequency that is law in comparison with microwaves. An analysis of Maxwell equations for magnetized plasmas including plasma dielectric tensor is provided in theoretical part where plasma perturbations will be studied in linear approximation using geometric optic approach. This project is coupled to thematic project of FAPESP " NÚCLEO DE EXCELÊNCIA EM FÍSICA E APLICAÇÃO DE PLASMAS" -2011/50773-0. (AU)
