Abstract

The main objective of this project is to make contributions to the understanding of the dynamics of injective interval maps with a finite number of discontinuities, restricting the study to two classes of such transformations: the contractions of n intervals and the interval exchange transformations with flips. In addition, the project also addresses conditions for injectivity of planar maps and the asymptotic stability of planar vector fields. (AU)
