Abstract

The activities that will be developed during the visit of Professor Bouteiller are directly correlated with a collaborative work of my research group at IQ-Unicamp and the group of Laurent Bouteiller at Pierre and Marie Curie (University of Paris). This collaborative work have started in 2008 and involved the development of a PhD project (of Kelly Roberta Francisco) in which I was the advisor. The title of this project was Rheological and structural characterization of supramolecular polymers in aqueous and in organic phases, and it was conclude in 2010. This collaborative work yielded two articles: Sabadini, Edvaldo; Francisco, Kelly R.; Bouteiller, Laurent, Bis-Urea-Based Supramolecular Polymer: The First Self-Assembled Drag Reducer for Hydrocarbon Solvents. Langmuir 2010, 26, 1482-1486.Francisco, Kelly Roberta; Dreiss, Cecile A.; Bouteiller, Laurent; Sabadini, E., Tuning the Viscoelastic Properties of Bis(urea)-Based Supramolecular Polymer Solutions by Adding Cosolutes. Langmuir 2012, 28, 14531-14539. In this sense, the visit will involve new plans for a project in the same subject. In this new project will work a new PhD student (Bruno Giordano Alvarenga). Part of the work involve the synthesis of new self-assembly molecules. This synthetic part will be developed in Paris. The visit of Professor Bouteiller also will permit the analysis of the results of the Luis Eduardo Roberto (my Master-Degree student). This work (Rheology of supramolecular polymers formed in different solvents) will be concluded at the end of 2013. The self-assembly molecules used in this project were prepared and characterized in the Laboratory of Professor Bouteiller. It is also schedule visits of Professor Bouteiller in USP-São Paulo, USP-São Carlos and LNLS. In these Institutes and in IQ-Unicamp, Professor Boutellier will give lectures and will talk with researchers about new possible collaborations. (AU)
