Abstract

The present project will investigate ion transport mechanism (Na+, K+, H+) in different nephron segments. We will investigate mechanisms that affect mainly proximal and distal tubules. We will investigate the effect of hormones (Aldosterone, GLP-1, AVP, AG 1,7), transcription factors, physiological and pathophysiologycal conditions (water deprivation, post-prandial period, potassion loading and depletion) on renal transport of water and ions.
