Abstract

The retrospective study (1)-through the analysis of the correlation between heart rate, electrocardiographic parameters and body weight in electrocardiographic tracings stored by cardiology Sevice, during term of 2013-2015. Electrocardiographic examinations will be carried out in the bipolar derivations (I, II and III) and the increased unipolar (aVR, aVL, and aVF), and ECG measurements in the frontal plane DII derivation, analyzing the following parameters: heart rate (beats per minute), electrical axis in the frontal plane (degrees), measurement of waves and intervals (P wave duration (milliseconds) and amplitude (millivolts); PR interval (milliseconds); QRS complex duration (milliseconds); R wave amplitude (millivolts); QT interval (milliseconds); T wave (positive negative polarity or biphasic); ST segment. The prospective study (2)-outpatient ECG and Holter method for analysis of heart rate variability, and verification of clinical variables (body weight, age, race, gender, temperament, respiratory rate, body temperature and blood pressure) into three groups containing 10 dogs, body weight 1 Group - composed of dogs - 9.9 Kg; Group 2-weight between 10 and 20 Kg and 3 Group-weight over 20 Kg. The possible correlation between heart rate and body weight with other evaluated parameters will be. (AU)
