Abstract

The objective this study is to relate intellectual production, and government projects on education and health fields, with bodily practices in schools of São Paulo in the early 20th century. Specifically, aims to identify similarities and differences between the history of mentalities on hygienism with documents of the school universe. The central hypothesis will review the continuities and discontinuities of the school routine in relation to national projects. For this, will be carried an empirical research about the hygienism in his context, with its setbacks, specificities, such as heterogeneous social movement. We are interested in this research project in the influence of this debate on government policies and later on schools. Is there a connection between the ideas of intellectuals, national projects and school routine? (AU)
