Abstract

The Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICB) was founded through the 1969 Brazilian University reform, as a institution dedicated to Basic Health Sciences. The ICB is distributed in four buildings in the São Paulo campus and in a off-campus Tropical Disease Laboratory in the city of Montenegro (Rondônia) in the Amazon. The Institute is composed of seven Departments: Anatomy, Cell and Development Biology, Pharmacology, Physiology and Biophysics, Imunology, Microbiology and Parasitology. (AU)
