Abstract

The Board approved at its meeting held on April 23/09/2013 the implementation plan of the Institutional Technical Reserve, which is the acquisition of an analytical balance with a resolution of 10-4 g (up to 520 g), widely used for determining water vapor permeability in packaging. That equipment will replace a similar one that can no longer be used for having its manufacture discontinued for more than 10 years and not have more parts for maintenance. With this acquisition, it will be possible to equalize supply and demand of various essays, impacting positively on several ongoing research projects in Packaging Technology Center of ITAL. (AU)
