Structural adequacy and computing for developing research in the school of applied sciences

Abstract

The School of Applied Sciences - FCA is a unit of UNICAMP still under implementation. The current student body of about 2,000 students is distributed among eight undergraduate courses, and the first students graduated in Nutrition, Management and Sports Science completed in 2012, while the first engineers will graduate in 2013. Currently, FCA offers four graduate programs: Sports Nutrition and Metabolism Sciences, with a doctoral degree that began in August 2013; Operational Research ; Interunits Program in Science and Technology Policy, and an Interdisciplinary Program in Humanities and Applied Social Sciences. Another proposal has been submitted to CAPES: Master's and Doctorate in Sports Science. Considering the conditions of the actual research facilities and the increasing demands of lodging continuously increasing research activities, the Congregation of the School proposes the application of the technical reserve funds from FAPESP in order to adequate the existing space with the installation of partitions, network points and air conditioning.
