Abstract

One of the challenges of tilapia production chain is to determine what the most appropriate diet, to ensure better reproductive efficiency. Bibliographic and scientific surveys prove that experiments with broodstock nutrition present conflicting results. This experiment aims to assess the reproductive performance of Nile tilapias, lineage GIFT, fed with different protein levels (32, 38, 44 and 50 of PB) in three steps: i. experimental unit; II-practical application and III-cost and benefit. The experiments will be entirely blocks, in which the first (I) will feature four treatments and four replications, and on the second (II) with three treatments and three repetitions, test the two diets that present the best reproductive performance (from step 1). In both steps (I and II) will be reviewed the following variables: eggs (fertility, diameter, hatching rate, histology, chemical composition-mycotoxin (s) and aminoacídica and activity of digestive enzymes); larvae (zootechnic rates, activity of digestive enzymes and composition aminoácídica) and arrays (blood analysis, characterization of semen, morfofisiológicos indexes, histology and chemical composition-mycotoxin (s) of the gonads and livers and quantification of amino acids). The third step (III) aims to evaluate economically feed that promotes better reproductive indices. The results will be submitted to the statistical analyses (variance, Tukey test and regression). (AU)
