Abstract

The visiting professor will participate in the following activities during May 03 to 31, 2014. These activities can be developed at the same time, it means that the visiting professor can be involved in more than one activities. According to this, the Activity Plan is proposed as follow.Activities Plan1.Research activities. 1.1 Project 1: "A importância das pequenas cidades na rede urbana da Amazônia: Crescimento urbano, infraestrutura e políticas públicas", coordinated by Prof. Sandra Costa of the Instituto de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento of UNIVAP, and the Project DELTAS funded by FAPESP (to Costa) as part of the international Belmont Forum program. 1.2 Project 2: Mudanças ambientais globais, vulnerabilidade, risco e subjetividade: um estudo sobre o Litoral Norte Paulista, coordenado pela UNICAMP, in which Professor Eduardo is involved with and, at the University of Vale do Paraíba (UNIVAP), Professo Pedro Ribeiro i salso involved. This Project was also funded by FAPESP. 2 .Preparation and presentation of a graduate seminar: Prof Brondizio will present a graduate seminar on the topic 'Interdisciplinary Approaches to Human - Environment Interaction: History, Theory, and Methods" to students and faculty of the master program on Urban Planning at UNIVAP, which is part of the research program on 'Planning, Population, and Environment'. 3. Participation on qualifying examination committee of the master program on Urban and Regional Planning, in particular involving dissertations associated with the research program coordinated by Profa Sandra Costa: qualifying examination of Monique do Carmo, student at Master Program in Urban and Regional Planning, which research is intitule "AS PEQUENAS CIDADES NA AMAZÔNIA - PARADOXOS ENTRE O URBANO E O RURAL: UM ESTUDO DE BARCARENA, PA", supported by FAPESP. 4. Preparation of articles for submission to national and international journals and broader contributions to the Graduate Program on Urban and Regional Planning. (AU)
