Abstract

The policies for the development of communication networks and its necessary imfra-structure at Catholic University of São Paulo are carried under the supervision f the Division of Information Technology (DIT). The Division administers the communications systems of six University campi and othe minor buildings and the University backbone is connected through all of them giving internet high speed access to all University users. The University administers more than 3000 computers and about 40 % of them are located in various laboratories. The University also administers 160 servers interconnected and dedicated to academic and administrative needs. The present project aims at implementing better WIFI access at the University. Resources will be fully applied to the purchase and installation of WIFI anthems and their installation. (AU)
