Abstract

The equipment of three-dimensional ultrasound iU22 xMATRIX (Philips, Mountain View, CA, USA) will be in an outhouse of the Paulista School of Medicine - Federal University of São Paulo, more precisely in a room of the Casa da Mulher Professor Domingos Deláscio, Rua Borges Lagoa, 418, Vila Clementino, São Paulo. This ultrasound device will be used for researches in fetal cardiology and specialized prenatal care for pregnant women carrying fetuses with congenital heart disease, which were the purposes of acquiring the same, as well as other researches in the Department of Obstetrics which would benefit of the various technologies available in this three-dimensional ultrasound equipment. In order to maintain the multi-user function of this equipment, which will benefit other Departments of the Paulista School of Medicine, we will create calls surveys on our website of the Post-Graduate Program - Department of Obstetrics (http://ppg.unifesp.br/obstetricia), so that interested researchers can develop projects. These projects will be evaluated by a committee to be chosen among the Professors of the Post-Graduate Program in Obstetrics, and the approved projects will have all the possible availability of use of equipment as well as the staff support program. Depending on the number of approved projects, we will create a weekly schedule to use the equipment, as a way to not harm the researches already underway, as well as specialized prenatal care of pregnant women carrying fetuses with congenital heart disease. Opening calls will start in the month of June/2014, and this will be widely posted on the main page of website of Paulista School of Medicine - Federal University of São Paulo. This call will last one month and, depending on the number of submitted projects, we may extend this period. The facilities and technical staff of the Casa da Mulher Professor Domingos Deláscio allows the simultaneous development of up to seven multi-user projects. (AU)
