Abstract
The project proposes an investigation in the area of techinical procedures of traditional metal engraving and comes in two stages: the first is the realization of a descriptive inventory of techniques and variations used by one of the most important brazilian artists, Marcello Grassmann s calcographic production. The second step provides an analysis of the artist s work considering how the use and the development of those personal techniqus allowed the creations of a work with unique characteristics of extremely high quality.
