Abstract

Among the species of natural environment explored economically in Brazil we can highlight the pintado (Pseudoplatystoma corruscans (Spix & Agassiz, 1829) and cachara (Pseudoplatystoma reticulatum (Eigenmann & Eigenmann, 1889) to be a fish with high quality of meet, low fat and no intramuscular bones. However fish from natural environment and fish farm can be hosting of several parasites, which can affect their development. As the Ichthyophthirius multifiliis that is a ciliated parasite that causes a spot white disease in several species of fresh water fish, this parasite is responsible for large lost in fish industry. The objective of this study is characterized differential expression of genes Arginase-I, Arginase-II, TNF-± in the blood, liver and head of kidney during 3, 24, 48, 96h after experimental infection of the fish's P. corruscans, P. reticulatum and the hybrids with the theronts form of the parasite I. multifiliis.
