Abstract

To plan how to use this years´s institutional budget, all researchers were consulted in advance and the application of resources was decided together. Once again, we aim to acquire items to be used by any researcher operating in our core facility. We have given priority to small equipment as the lab is fully equipped and we are waiting for the construction of a new building for our institute. Therefore, we justify the purchase of two vortex, two seesaws, and one mini-spin to expand functionality of our stands considering that we have, today, 20 researchers and research assistants, 15 post-doctoral fellows and 45 under-graduate and post-graduate students working in the laboratory. Consumables will be purchased during the project. Since the transfer of HIAE administrative staff to the new branch in Pinheiros, we have had the opportunity to reallocate researchers and students. As a result, we recovered also our meeting room for which we want to apply a sum of the current project for improvements, that is, painting the room and buying some shelving to make available to all our reference and technical books which are now spread around in several rooms.
