Abstract

The project envisages the development of a scientific experiment, a Langmuir Probe (SLP)to be flown on board one of the nano satellites CubeSat for making in-situ measurements of the ionospheric plasma density and temperature along the trajectory of the CubeSat. The main steps of the project are:· Development of a new engineering model, compacted with miniature components of a Langmuir Probe, already flown on board sounding rockets and on board the micro satellite SACI-1.· Development and qualification of an interface between the scientific experiment and the on board computer of the CubeSat for storing and preprocessing of the scientific data from the experiment.· Fabrication of the Qualifiaction and or the Prototype and Flight Models of the experiment.
