So this research aims to identify, to describe, and to analyse the microfoundations of John Commons economic theory. Specifically, it will 1) analyse his theories of rasonable value, of the firm as a going plant and a going business and his approach to the capitalist competition; 2) to explain the genesis of these institutions in the sense of provide commonsian microfoundations to capitalist dynamics, and 3)compare his vision to that one presents in the economic thought of his age.
