Abstract

This project describes a plan for applying the ANSP Network Connectivity Technical Reserve Grant. A. C. Camargo Cancer Center provides research support information systems, such as Biobank, to manage Biobanking data; H²TC, a research focused Electronic Health Record (EHR) document integration system; Recruit, an ontology based clinical information retrieval system designed to facilitate finding patients fulfilling clinical criteria; XUSD, that allows construction and sharing research databases; and acProjects, that manages scientific research projects and grant access for researchers engaged on active projects to the other systems. In the last years, A. C. Camargo Cancer Center has seen an average annual increase of 20% on the number of patient visits, and that reflects directly on the clinical database size. This project investment is focused on leveraging computational capacity of the servers hosting research support software of the institution. (AU)
