Abstract

Primary prevention of Cardiovascular Disease is an option of great importance for their health impacts. In parallel, the Chronic Kidney Disease is a result of the loss of capacity by the excretory kidney, usually slow and progressive, also is a major public health problem. Several risk factors have been described in the literature that as lead to the development of Cardiovascular Disease, as the progression of Chronic Kidney Disease. Moreover, in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease, it is more frequent acute myocardial infarction, stroke and mortality when compared to the general population. Some biomarkers have been found to be useful in the evaluation of Cardiovascular Disease, including microparticles and chemokine receptor of monocytes / macrophages CCR2. Microparticles are released through the membrane structures of different cell types upon activation or apoptosis. The monocyte recruitment during inflammatory infection requires the CCR2 receptor stimulation to promote migration of monocytes from the bone marrow to the inflammatory site. The main objective of this proposal is to evaluate microparticles and CCR2 in Chronic Kidney Disease. Cardiovascular Disease patients will be stratified in stages 1 to 4 of Renal Disease, based on creatinine clearance, and it will be evaluated microparticles and CCR2 by flow cytometry and real time PCR, respectively. The aspects to be evaluated in this study are unique and include aspects still poorly studied in the literature. (AU)
