Abstract

The main topic of the research project is to study maximal-P spaces (where P is a fixed property related to compactness). In particular, P=countably compact will be analised more carefully. In the research project 13 problems are proposed, but several others can also be considered. It will also be investigated questions related to products of the form XxY and sequencially continuous functions. Note that Wilson and Alas, joint with Tkachuk, in a paper published in 2014 in the Central European Journal of Mathematics, showed that if X is maximal-pseudocompact, its product with omega_1 (with the order toplogy) is maximal-pseudocompact.
