Abstract

The present project for visiting professor has as its locus the Graduate Program in Education of Universidade São Francisco (USF) - São Paulo State and as visiting researcher Professor Emmanouil Dafermakis of the University of Crete, Department of Psychology for a 5-week period, from August 1st 2015 through September 5, 2015. The scheduled activities consist of two mini-courses: "Rethinking -historical cultural theory: context and core concepts" which aims to explore the contributions of Vigotsky for research in Education and "Exploring Learning and Development with Digital Media" that presents the recent research of Dafermakis on Digital Media, project to which the applicant intends to adhere with the visit. Dafermakis will also give two lectures in this program and participate in academic meetings with teachers and students, whose researches are inserted into the cultural-historical theoretical perspective or with the theme Digital Media. In addition, the professor will participate in activities in two other partner institutions: USP and Unicamp. It is expected that his visit can generate the following products: 1. partnership between the universities, USF and Crete, so that our students and professors can do exchange in Greece and students and researchers of Greece can do exchange at USF; 2. elaboration of a sub-project, linked to the project "Global Perspectives on Learning and Development with Digital Video Editing-Media" and the project "Representations and Technologies (of the self): discursive woofs of/on the virtual" in which the applicant takes part; 3. article, which was already discussed with professor Dafermakis, linked to the Digital Media issues; 4. solidification of the internationalization process of the graduate program in Education of USF and Brazilian graduate; 5. expansion of discussions and analysis of the research developed by masters and doctoral students of the program, with the meetings with professor Dafermakis and 6. national and international exchange of 3 institutions of São Paulo state: USF, USP and Unicamp and their respective graduate programs and the University of Crete.
