Abstract

Chicken astrovírus (CAstV), avian nephritis virus (ANV) and chicken parvovirus (CHPV) are virus that were related with enteric problems in chicken commercial flocks, being identified in chickens with signs of enteric diseases. Enteric viruses that may be related with enteric problems that affect to poultry and cause important economic losses caused by lack of feed, the disparity in growth and death. These three viruses are not very known and are investigated as causer of enteric problems, especially of diarrhea, sign related with to the runting and stunting syndrome and loose weight in commercial flocks. In Brazil, these viruses were detected and isolated from hens and chickens both health or with enteric problems. The involvement of these viruses in the geneses of enteric diseases is not understood, and still not determined if one virus or the combination between those is the cause of enteric diseases. The lack of knowledge of pathogeneses of these viruses becomes important their pathogenicity determination in vivo, because this information contributes for better knowledge of characteristics of enteric diseases. Viral strains of chicken astrovírus, avian nephritis virus and chicken parvovirus isolated in chicken embryonated eggs (SPF), in Brazil, at the laboratory of avian pathology from veterinary college of the University Sao Paulo, from hens and chickens commercial flocks with enteric problems, will be selected for carrying out the present. The present work has as aims: 1) to identify the viruses (CAstV, ANV, ChPV) by a reaction of RT-PCR and PCR and standardized reactions of real time RT-PCR and real time PCR by viral quantification; 2) to determinate by experimental infection if individually the virus or their combinations development or not the enteric diseases in broiler, 3) to determinate the pathogenicity of these viruses in vivo.
