Abstract

The researcher's work plan involves joint development of part of a Research Project (Title "Elaboración un protocol inspection y evaluación of existing structures"), supported by the Government of Spain, in which the responsible for this request (Dr. Raquel Gonçalves) is part of Team (International Researchers). This project has link direct to the scope of a new Project, just approved by FAPESP (Proc. 2015/05692-3). Besides working together on this specific project, the visiting researcher will collaborate in the methodological discussion and analysis of results of other research projects developing in the research group of the College of Agricultural Engineering - FEAGRI/UNICAMP. Additionally the visitor researcher will impart two courses, one open for all students and professors from FEAGRI and College of Civil Engineering (FEC) from UNICAMP, about "Intervention and Restoration Wooden Structures" with important link with the objective of this visit (Timber inspection using nondestructive techniques). The second course will be taught to professors from FEAGRI, who are responsible for the courses FA 870: Design of Timber Structures and FA 032: Design of Steel Structures, concerning software's: Estrumad and Metalpla, both developed by professors from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, including as co-author, the visiting professor. The FEAGRI received, as a donation, 100 licenses of these programs for use in those disciplines, and the Training to use these software are very important. (AU)
