Abstract

The visit of Dr. Acuña will begin on February 21st 2016 and will finish on February 27th 2016. Researches related to breeding of Paspalum species that are made in Embrapa Southeast Livestock will be presented to the visitor. The researcher will make presentations at Embrapa and UFSCAR on the Paspalum breeding program at Universidad Nacional del Nordeste. Dr. Acuña will visit the experimental fields and Germplasm Bank. He might participate in MSc dissertation presentation. Several meetings will be held in order to share experiences and possible future partnerships. A multidisciplinary team, which includes breeders, molecular biologist, experts in forage crops and seed technology, entomologists, chemicals and others will follow the visit of Dr. Carlos Acuña, greatly enjoying the experience that the researcher has with genetic improvement of Paspalum genus.
