Abstract
The Brazil with the discovery of pre-salt and the development of its operation, is developing new technologies to enable their operation .Our proposal is to develop a system (SMAA 7) that is not part of the production structures and is located independent of them. The purpose is to monitor, detect and mitigate leaks in subsea production plant and be an innovative system to detect oil leaks in new oil production structures of the pre-salt (where most of the production process will be under the sea, It is operated remotely) being installed close to the production plants. The main benefit is to be an independent system (not connected) in production structures and traceability of the leaks make the most efficient, fast and accurate answers to combat leakage facilitating mitigation of environmental damage. Reduction in insurance policy costs, losses (financial, image and environmental) in case of leakage, image positioning company concerned with environmental safety and monitoring of the new pre-salt production structures. The system will consist of an embedded system consists of several sensors installed. An embedded system microcontroller will be inert awaiting responses from the sensors installed on the board. Initially the first sensor check the variation in density of the liquid, enabling the operation of the main system. Once started, the microcontroller will do a second check by a light sensor, whose purpose is to check the turbidity of the liquid. The number of sensors used is designed to ensure the veracity of the leak, because maintaining a system like this is costly, and the containment of a possible leak demand a great drive by the responsible company. Once identified the leak as real will be given the alarm. If the sensor array indicates that the initial measurement does not represent a real threat, an internal algorithm the microcontroller will recalculate the default values of the sensors (its normal and alarm conditions, scan time, etc.) and based on the newly acquired data as well as the historical data, will again leave the sleeper system, awaiting a new alarm can leak. If in case of leakage of Frade field in Chevron 11/2011 where there was a crack in the field soil was detected the next day, if the system is in operation could be detected at the time of the leak, making the field was turned off immediately preventing had been a leak of 3,700 barrels of oil into the sea decreasing environmental and financial losses such as fines of up to R $ 35 million of the ANP, and R $ 95 million to compensate for environmental damage and not well operation In addition, the client will have greater support and associated image with respect to environmental safety.
