Abstract

This Multi-User Equipment (MUE) is a Fluorescent Activated Cell Sorter with 3 lasers (blue, red and near UV) capable of analyzing up to 12 parameters simultaneously (10 colors, SSC and FSC) and separating up to 4 different cell populations. This configuration can be expanded to meet future needs as well as the platform can be upgraded instead of purchasing new systems, what makes the acquisition of the equipment a long term investment. Besides being essential to the development of the present research project, its use can be extended to all researchers from FOB as well as to others. In fact, several researchers from FOB are interested on using the equipment in their next studies. This MUE enables the realization of research protocols of cell sorting with high quality and sterile condition, independently of the purpose of the study and research field, offering high quality support for national or international researchers. There are only 3 cells sorters in São Paulo State and the installation of the MUE in Bauru can easily reach the whole countryside. (AU)
