Abstract

Initial standardization of the ELISA test for the presence of immunoglobulin (Ig) class IgG anti_H. pylori in serum will be tested with control sera of 10 patients infected admittedly, and 10 uninfected, determined by gold standard (histology and rapid urease test positive and/or culture positive). Antigenic preparation: Sonication whole cell 50 samples (25 adults and 25 children) of isolated bacteria and selected from genotypic knowledge. Antigenic specificity is tested with 19 species of heterologous bacteria. Validation of the ELISA test: 78 adults and 95 children infected and uninfected symptomatic. (AU)
