Abstract

Time management in projects is presented as one of the most practical complex due to the high amount of involved factors. Even with techniques developed for more than 50 years, the projects are still failing to achieve your goals of time and cost. This research seeks to define the most important variables influence on time management in multi project environment when using the Critical Chain Project Management method (CCPM).This work will studied the concepts in real environment conditions of using a model which will analyze the influences of defined variables and the environment in which develops, with a systemic view. As part of the methodology will be used procedures literature review and field study to define the variables of influence, and action research to collect the data to do analysis. The behavior of variables and the results will be evaluated using a statistical technique known as Logistic Regression. The validation of the results will be performed using a mixed model methods type: qualitative-quantitative-qualitative. It is expected that this research contributes to the development of project management discipline as a alternative model or technique for time and cost management in multi-project environment and the results can be applied in other contexts.
