Abstract

Wi-Fi connections are essential for any network infrastructure nowadays. This kind of connection is used by most portable devices like tablets, notebooks and smartphones and it delivers the platform for the BYOD "Bring your own device", which is a topic often discussed in any IT event these days. At CNPEM Wi-Fi network provides access to scientific, technical and administrative areas connecting them to the ANSP network. Due to the increase of the number of devices connected to the Wi-Fi network and given the relevance of this service, the aim of this project is to improve the service offering more capacity and redundancy for it benefiting all CNPEM´s employees, researchers, students and users.
