Abstract
This project subject is to evaluate the interaction between aerosols and clouds and their optical property influence on the atmosphere with respect to the transmission radiative and their impact on atmospheric radiative balance. Therefore, we will use the remote sensing laser systems available in the Laboratory Environmental Applications of the Laser Institute of Nuclear and Energy Research- Laal / IPEN - as well as the data of solar photometry in São Paulo and correlate with products available from satellites AQUA / TERRA and CALIPSO, with particular interest in MODIS and CALIOP instruments. In this project some adaptations should be incorporated into MSP-LIDAR systemI, in the recent past had a substantial upgrade via FAPESP -2009 / 16001- (Hygroscopicity Assessment of aerosols in urban atmospheres by LIDAR technique) and implementing a robust data analysis LIRIIC through the platform. The results we want to achieve will seek better understand direct and indirect effects of aerosols within the context of climate change and reduce uncertainties linked to investigations conducted to date to urban atmospheres in large cities (megacities).
