Abstract

ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES WITH OCCUPATIONAL ACCIDENTS: PIRACICABA REALITY.AbstractObjectives: To describe the organization of the attendance to workers who suffered occupational accidents in the municipal level; to describe the level of expenditures on health care in both Public Health System and Private networks; to analyze the expenditure distribution on occupational accidents by levels of care in the local reality. Methodology: it is a retrospective, descriptive, analytical and quantitative study. The research will be performed in the city of Piracicaba. One specific tool will be used to collect data, composed by: identification of the worker, type of accident, severity of the accident, procedure realized and the prospective billings. The period of the study is from January to December, 2014. To collect of data, we shall use a stratified sample, selected randomly between the workers that suffered occupational accidents in this period, considering the severity ratings. This accounted 179 cases for each severity class: light and moderate. The data will be collected through the municipal information system, SIVAT, DATASUS-SIASUS-SIH databases and using the number of Occupational Accident Attendance Registration (OAAR). Excel and EpInfo programs will be used for data treatment. The theoretical base to analyze will be public policies on current social protection on occupational health, as well as the intersection and amount of the object. Expectation: To know the expenditure due to occupational accidents in the assistance network, the potential of the information systems and to understand the management of the assistance given to the workers who suffer occupational accidents.Key-words: Occupational health, occupational accident, health expenditure, information systems on health (AU)
