Abstract

The Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture (CENA) is one of the most important institutes of the University of São Paulo with excellence in teaching Graduate Studies and Research. Thus, it is of considerable relevance to prioritize improvement projects in the infrastructure of the institution. So, continuing this initiative, it was decided the CD/CENA (12/05/2016) that the resources of the Technical Reserve for Institutional Research Infrastructure 2015 (FAPESP) should primarily support projects involving review and exchange of wireless network (wireless), aiming to meet the community's CENA (researcher, students, funtionary, etc.) single and centrally, giving greater range, reliability and management of all active wireless network involved, and internet network expansion to two Radiobiology building rooms, which has a teacher hired this year. Other actions approved refer to disposal of hazardous chemical waste generated in teaching, research and extension (5 ton.) that can not be treated in the unit, which annually conducts the reuse of about 500 tons of solid and liquid waste in a consolidated management program and had important support from FAPESP (treatment of chemical waste - Process FAPESP 2001 / 01202-9). Finally it was decided to buy an analytical balance with a capacity of 6.1 g Readability 1 µg, for weighing solid and liquid samples, often reduced mass (µg) aiming the isotopic determination of C and N, and the concentration of elements by mass spectrometry isotope ratio mass in samples of agronomical and environmental, outhers institutions and projects coordinated by the institution's researchs.
