Abstract

The project proposes to implement the MHM (Multi scale Hybrid Method) and explore its potential for approximating multi scale phenomenon. The MHM technique was developed by researchers at LNCC and would be benefited by an implementation in a computational environment that incorporates advanced finite element technologies. Different aspects of the MHM method will be studied and a modified formulation will be proposed. Results obtained with the MHM method will be compared with alternative multi scale methods. (AU)
