Abstract

The Discourse Analysis possess disciplinary relations and theoretical-methodologic characteristics capable to contribute for the growth and understanding of a series of discoursive practical, included those related to scientific practical, as that ones from human and social sciences. It is assumed that is through statements which carry ideological that the text (verbal and writing) is produced. Thus, the problem is configured in systemize, in the direction of verticalization, the deriving theoretical discourse of the Information Science throughout the decade of 1970, initial decade of the appearance of the Information Science in Brazil, while a possible "area" in the Brazilian reality. In this way, by means of the picture theoretical-methodologic of the Discourse Analysis, it will be search to understand as the discourse was enunciated and sedimented in Information Science in Brazil. This analysis runs from two basic journals of the period, Revista da Escola de Biblioteconomia da UFMG e Ciência da Informação, responsible in giving support to the appearance and increment of this disciplines throughout the decade of 1970, analyzing articles that deal with central way the epistemology of the Information Science possessing the term "Information Science" in the heading, word-key or summary of articles (AU)
