Abstract

Nanostructures and supramolecular structures will be fabricated in liquid media. The structure of the nanoscale arrangement will be observed using atomic force microscopy (AFM) and near field scanning optical microscopy (NSOM). The following structures will be investigated: a) auto-organized lipid bilayers, synthetical and biological membranes as basic units in the construction of biomolecular systems, b) biomineralization induced by DNA.
