Abstract

Relying on its growing capacity obtained through successful research and development projects funded by FAPESP and CNPq and unique know how in the lighter than air, ALTAVE develop this project an innovative air monitoring system forests using captive aerostats with georeferenced cameras, wireless data link and software for central monitoring, providing greater coverage and ability to detect forest claims. Reaching heights higher than 200 meters, airships have favorable terms in relation to current watchtowers, with a larger field of sight of the forest and fewer obstacles for streaming video wirelessly to a central monitoring.
