Health and abilities measurement in population surveys: an application of the generalized latent variable modeling framework to high dimensional data

Abstract

We aim 1) to build a strong collaborative foundation for developing applied generalized latent variable modeling research strategy that would be carried out across both sites, 2) to incorporate very innovative and applied statistical modeling to the high dimensional and complex already collected data (e.g., hybrid modeling [in case of cross-sectional data] and mover-stayer latent transitional latent class [for longitudinal measurements]). Our team of researchers will use their experiences and knowledge from ongoing research projects to flesh out a research plan for a future analytical research project, taking an advantage of already existed big data available from both sites.
